IBI Data Standards and Sharing Working Group - IBI Funders Collective Meeting
The
Data Standards and Sharing Working Group (WG) is a highly prioritized working group in the
International Brain Initiative (IBI) which started at the IBI Data Standards and Sharing Roundtable, Tokyo in 2020. This WG has been working towards the aim of implementing mechanisms for data harmonization between existing global research efforts, international neuroscience-relevant societies, and neuroscience researchers since the beginning. Some of the
highlights of the WG activities include the publication of a position paper titled “
International data governance for neuroscience” in Neuron (2022), holding of a workshop (Training resources for cross initiative data-driven modeling workflows) at CNS*2021, exploring different databases worldwide to establish a data catalog, etc. With these success stories, Data Standards and Sharing WG is on the verge of the next phase and this closed meeting with the IBI Funders Collective will be critical in establishing connection with potential funders and sculpting the future of this WG. The goal of this event is to show the plans and future directions for the WG future activities and discuss challenges and needs for the proposed activities.
This event is supported by the IBI,
Japan Brain/MINDS and
Brain/MINDS Beyond.
