Comprehensive elucidation of resting-state functional connectivity in anorexia nervosa by a multicenter cross-sectional study

Summary

Research team led by Asst. Prof. Yusuke Sudo and Prof. Yoshiyuki Hirano (Chiba University) conducted a large-scale analysis of brain functional imaging through collaborative research with five facilities nationwide, achieving the world's first comprehensive understanding of brain functional abnormalities in anorexia nervosa.
The functional abnormalities identified among 45 brain regions shed light on the pathophysiology understanding of anorexia nervosa and are expected to serve as diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for the condition.
